To kick things off, let’s get to know each other a little…
Hey, I’m James!
I am obsessed with photography, storytelling, and weddings.
I've always been fascinated by the world around me - The people and places. I was that child who was always outside exploring. Fast forward to my 18th birthday, I received my first camera as a birthday present - after messing around with cameras in high school media, I was hooked on taking pictures.
Photography led me to find a deep love for travel. I found an interest in capturing various cultures and places that where completely unknown to me. This led me to go on several backpacking trips where I honed my skills by spending countless hours capturing landscapes, cities or towns around the world.
The more I travelled the more I immersed myself further into photography… Eventually, I began to realise photography may be something I should pursue further as a life long career. Around this time, I graduated with my bachelor of photo and design and started my business.
Then the pandemic hit. It was a pretty rough time for me as many of my plans were shattered. Some close to me suggested giving up because of the stress it was causing. But, deep inside, I knew my passion was worth fighting for. I pushed myself to return to my love of capturing seascapes of the ocean, or landscapes of the hills and wilderness.
In a way, the time I had away from work allowed me to reflect on why I loved photography - I loved the ability to preserve memories and moments - often moments that define who we are.
I realised that I could share this love with others. I could help others preserve their most special moments, their most cherished memories, and the most important days of their lives. I became passionate about photographing weddings and special occasions and based my business around this industry.
With this transformation, I started to see my clients as an integral part of my passion - by sharing their stories, their love, and their celebrations, I can practice my art and preserve moments forever.
Therefore, as you read this, know that you are an essential part of this incredible journey. Your support and encouragement fuel my passion, allowing me to continue doing what I love.

How it works:

The first step is to get in touch with me! You can send me an email or give me a call. We'll discuss the pricing structure, my availability, and have a brief chat about what you're looking for. If everything sounds good, we'll get things moving and schedule a catch-up on Microsoft Teams. This way, we can all meet "in-person" and chat about the day and plans.

During our meeting, we'll discuss your vision, preferred style, and all of the must-haves. Feel free to bring questions along if you're curious about my process. If everything aligns, we can get a booking organized. I'll need the retainer fee to be paid within 24 hours to secure the date.

We'll have one final meet-up, either in person or over Microsoft Teams, to go over the timeline of your day and all of the final details. We'll create a detailed photography run sheet and shot list, ensuring we don’t miss anything important.

About 6 to 10 weeks after the wedding, you will receive a link to your gallery. We can chat about prints and albums and how to order them.
