James Di Stefano Photo & Video is one of Perth’s most innovative and respected photography and videography studios. We specialise in weddings and luxury events and regularly work with high-end private clients, international corporations, and local government.
Over the past three years, our studio has experienced rapid growth. As part of this expansion, we are seeking a permanent part-time team member with a strong interest in building a long-term career in the photography and videography industry.

This role is ideal for an emerging yet experienced photographer/videographer who is passionate about the industry and eager to grow within a professional studio environment.
You will work closely with our lead shooters and creative team, gaining hands-on experience across photography, videography, editing, and marketing. Over time, there is opportunity to progress from assisting and editing through to second shooting and eventually operating as an independent shooter on projects.
Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential, as you will regularly work with high-end clients who expect outstanding service and premium-quality results.

Assisting lead photographers and videographers on weddings and events
Editing wedding photographs and films
Second shooting photography and/or videography
Supporting studio operations and creative workflows
Assisting with marketing and content creation where required
Progressing toward independent shooting responsibilities over time

Permanent part-time position
Based out of a Home studio in Perth’s northern suburbs
Consistent 2–3 days per week (negotiable 12–25 hours)
Additional paid hours for on-location photography or videography shoots, ranging from 10–25 hours, depending on workload
Weekend and weeknight availability is required
All equipment and software are provided.

Essential:
Strong understanding of photography and videography
Experience with photo and video editing software
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel to shoot locations
Ability to lift, manage, and operate camera equipment, including camera rigs, lighting stands, and other production gear
Professional presentation and communication skills
Desirable:
Experience with weddings or events
Interest in marketing or social media content creation
A long-term desire to build a career in photography and videography
